Alphabet "F" Coloring Pages
About Alphabet "F"
"F" is for "Fish"
"F" is the 6th letter of the alphabet.
The word on this coloring page is Fish. It means 魚 (sakana) in English.
On the left side, we drew a fish with a round body, big eyes, and a happy smile.
It has fins on its back, belly, and tail, and another fin on the side of its body too.
At the bottom, the word "Fish" is written in outline letters. Try saying "Fish" out loud before you start coloring!
How to write uppercase "F" and lowercase "f"
You write uppercase "F" in 3 strokes.
Stroke ① is a down line from top to bottom. Stroke ② is the top cross line, and stroke ③ is the middle cross line. You draw the cross lines from left to right.
It is easy to remember as the letter "E" without the bottom line!
You write lowercase "f" in 2 strokes.
Stroke ① starts with a curve at the top right, turns left, and goes straight down. Stroke ② is a cross line right at the second line.
When you count the 4 lines, start from the top: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th line. The dark 3rd line is the baseline where the letters sit.
Both "F" and "f" are tall letters that go from the 1st line down to the 3rd line.
The name and sound of Alphabet "F"
The name of Alphabet "F" is "Ef".
Inside words, it makes a "ff" sound. You make this sound by gently touching your top teeth to your bottom lip and blowing air through the gap.

Look in a mirror and check if your teeth are resting on your lip while you practice making the sound!
The "Fi" sound in Fish starts with this sound too.

Color the frog green. For the tulip, color the flower red, pink, or yellow, and color the stem and leaves green.
Color the fork gray, and leave a little bit white to make it look shiny!
When Tracing, Watch Out for the Curve in "f"
On the bottom right, there are light gray "F"s and "f"s lined up, 4 of each.
Trace them slowly with a pencil, following the right stroke order.
For "f", start writing from the curve on the top right, and pull the straight line down to the 3rd thick line.
Draw the line across right along the 2nd line.
When you finish tracing, try writing it by yourself in the empty space on the right!
To Finish Up, Let's Read the Words
When you finish coloring, try coloring the letters for "Fish" on the left with the same colors as the fish.
Point at Alphabet "F" with your finger, and read them in order: "F, f-sound, Fish," "Frog," "Flower," and "Fork."
Once your coloring page is done, it's nice to tape it to a wall or put it in a folder to keep it safe!
