Shinkansen Series E7 / W7 are super cool bullet trains that run through Japan's beautiful scenery. Shinkansen Series E7 / W7 look almost identical, but here is a tip to tell them apart!

• Different Owners: Shinkansen Series E7 belongs to JR East, and Shinkansen Series W7 belongs to JR West. These two companies work together to run the train route!
• Logo Mark: Look closely at the logo on the side of the train! If it says "EAST JAPAN RAILWAY COMPANY," it is Shinkansen Series E7. If it says "WEST JAPAN RAILWAY COMPANY," it is Shinkansen Series W7!

Where does it run?

On the "Hokuriku Shinkansen" between Tokyo and Fukui, Shinkansen Series E7 / W7 run under train names like "Kagayaki," "Hakutaka," "Asama," and "Tsurugi." On the "Joetsu Shinkansen" between Tokyo and Niigata, they run as "Toki" and "Tanigawa." You might be able to spot them in many different places!

How to Choose Colors
