The 800 Series is a super cool Shinkansen that runs on the Kyushu Shinkansen line. It made its debut in 2004 when the Kyushu Shinkansen first opened. Its white body features a bright red line and golden letters. To help it climb up steep mountain paths in Kyushu with lots of power, this train has a special design called "all-electric car," where motors are placed in all 6 cars.

Types and history of the Shinkansen 800 Series Tsubame

There are two types of the Shinkansen 800 Series Tsubame: the first model that was built, and a later model called "New 800 Series" with a slightly different face. You can tell the new type by its headlights, which bulge out a little bit. At first, it only ran between Shin-Yatsushiro Station and Kagoshima-Chuo Station. Now, it runs all the way up to Hakata Station, traveling straight across Kyushu!

How to Choose Colors

• Body Color: The main color is pure white. If you color the shadowy parts with a light gray, it will look 3D and real.
