• Popular colors: The most common color is bright brown (red). "Black & Tan," with a black body and brown eyebrows, cheeks, and paws, is also cool and very much like a Dachshund! Cream and chocolate are wonderful colors, too.
• Patterns: It is also fun to try "dapple," which has spotted patterns on the body. Try drawing patterns with a color lighter than the base color.
• Eyes and nose: Gently color the eyes black or dark brown. Make the nose black and shiny to make your dog look full of energy!
• Ears: The long, floppy ears are its best feature! Color them carefully in the same color as the body.
