The Kanji that Hiragana "Tsu" came from is "River" it is.
It is said that as people wrote the kanji for "river" (川) smoothly without stopping, the shape became rounded and turned into the Hiragana "Tsu" we use today!
It's fun to think that the three lines turned into one big curve, isn't it?

Tips for writing Hiragana "Tsu"

"Tsu" is1 strokeIt's a simple character that you can write with just a single line.
Start writing from left to right, going slightly upward, and make a big curve on the rightCurve it around smoothlyLet's do this!
Keep going down to the lower left, gentlysweepNda.
If you draw the right side of the curve so it's the roundest, it will make a nice shape!
The trick is to not make the top line too straight, but give it a gentle curve.

Try coloring the crescent moon with lemon yellow or bright marigold yellow.
For the stars, change the colors a little bit—like yellow, light orange, or pale sky blue—to make them look sparkly!
