Alphabet "O" Coloring Pages
About Alphabet "O"
"O" is for "Orange"
"O" is the 15th letter of the 26 alphabet letters.
The word for this coloring page is Orange.
On the left side, we drew a whole orange with a stem and leaves, and an orange cut in half.
On the cut side, you can see the little sections inside lined up from the middle to the edge.
Orange is the name of a fruit, and it is also the name of a color!
"O" and "o" are round shapes
You write both uppercase "O" and lowercase "o" with 1 stroke.
For both of them, you start at the top, spin counterclockwise to the left, and go back to where you started.
They go the opposite way of clock hands, so look closely at the direction of the arrows!
You write big uppercase "O" from the top line to the third line on the four lines.
Lowercase "o" has the same shape, but it is a small circle from the second line to the third line.
Letters that only change in size can make it easy to mix up the uppercase and lowercase parts, so be careful with their heights!
Alphabet "O" makes many different sounds
As the name of the letter, Alphabet "O" is read as "oh".
In orange and octopus, it sounds like "ah" with your mouth open wide.
In owl, it sounds like "ow", and in onion, it sounds like "uh".
Alphabet "O" is called a vowel, so its sound changes depending on the word.
Let's say the words for the pictures out loud one by one and compare the sounds!
Words that start with Alphabet "O"
In the middle on the right, there are 3 small pictures of words that start with Alphabet "O".
Octopus means tako, Owl means fukurou, and Onion means tamanegi.
The owl is drawn perched on a branch.

Alphabet "O" and the number "0"
Uppercase "O" looks a lot like the number "0".
Alphabet "O" is often written almost like a perfect circle, while "0" is written a little taller.
If you try writing them next to each other, you might see how they are different!
How to Color Alphabet "O"
The big "O" looks like a donut
The big "O" and "o" at the top right look like a donut with a hole in the middle.
Color only inside the lines with your favorite color.
Since it stands for orange, orange is the perfect color to use!
If you color from the top going counterclockwise following the stroke order arrows, you can learn how to write it too.
The orange and the little pictures
Color the whole orange in orange.
If you make the edges a little darker, it will look nice and round.
For the slice, use light orange or yellow inside the segments. Leave the lines around the segments and the middle white to make it look juicy!
Color the leaf green and the stem brown.
Try coloring the octopus red or pink, the owl brown, and the onion light brown or purple.
Trace slowly and round
At the bottom right, there are 4 light gray "O"s and "o"s lined up.
Use a pencil to trace them slowly from the top, going counterclockwise.
The secret is to go all the way back to where you started so there are no gaps!
Be careful to place the bottom on the third line of the four guidelines, and try writing them in the empty space on the right, too.
Finally, read the words out loud
You can also color the word "Orange" under the picture on the left because it has outline letters.
If you use the same color for the first capital letter as the big letter at the top right, you can see how they match!
When you finish coloring, trace the letters with your finger and say "orange" out loud.
When you connect the picture, the letters, and the sound, it gets much easier to remember!
