How to Color Limited Express Haruka
How to Choose Colors
Limited Express Haruka has a cool white body. Choose bright colors that match the sky and the airport!
- Main body color: Color the white neatly. Here is a trick! Leave a little bit of plain white for the light to make it look shiny instead of coloring all of it.
- Around the windows and the line at the bottom: Color with dark blue to make it look cool and sharp. Try to stay on the straight lines.
- Window glass: If you use light blue or light gray, it will look just like real glass. Color the parts that reflect the sky brightly, and make the shadows inside a little darker.
- Lights: For the front lights going forward, use yellow or bright white to make them look like they are shining.
How to color it to make it look fast!
Limited Express Haruka is a fast train, so try to make it look like it is zooming along!
- If you use colored pencils: If you move your colored pencil fast in the direction Limited Express Haruka goes, it will look like it is speeding along!
- If you use crayons: Press hard in some places and softly in others to make Limited Express Haruka look super powerful!
How to make your picture look 3D: Think about "shadows" and "light"!
If you think about the bumps when you color, it will look like the real thing! As for the shaded places,
- The bottom part of the train and around the wheels
- The connection between the train cars
- The slightly sunken areas around the doors and windows.
If you lightly layer gray or a slightly dark blue on these spots, they will look like shadows and make it look 3D. On the other hand, for the spots where the light hits,
- The round part on the front (forehead) of the train
- The middle of the roof.
For parts like this, you can leave them white without coloring, or use an eraser to make them a little lighter, too.
Try coloring the scenery around it, too!
- Sky: Limited Express Haruka makes people think of the sky, so a bright blue sky is a great match. Try drawing some fluffy white clouds!
- Tracks and buildings: Draw the scenery with gray, brown, and green to show the train running through towns and nature.
- Airport: Try drawing an airport or an airplane in your picture. It is fun because it makes it look like Limited Express Haruka reached its destination!
Hints for enjoying your coloring page!
It's okay if you don't use the real colors! Try coloring with your very own special colors and think, "I wish a Limited Express Haruka like this existed!" A rainbow Limited Express Haruka might be super cool, too!
