A "Red" Akita Dog is Brown and White

The most common fur color for the Akita Dog is called "red."
Even though it is called red, it is not bright red. It is a bright brown or orange-brown color.
Color the back and head with brown. Leave the cheeks, around the mouth, throat, chest, belly, and inside of the legs white.
If you blend the edges between brown and white a little bit, the fur will look nice and fluffy!

White Akita Dog and Tiger Stripes

An Akita Dog can also be white, or have dark stripes called "brindle" (tiger pattern).
When you make a white Akita Dog, leave the body white. Just color the shadows in the fur with light gray or cream.
For a brindle Akita Dog, make stripe patterns by mixing brown onto a gray or black base.
Color the eyes and nose black, and leave a tiny white light in the eyes.
If the mouth is open in the drawing, color the tongue pink to make the face look healthy and happy!

Autumn Yellow and Winter White

Color the ginkgo leaves in the second page with a bright yellow.
If you mix in yellow-green or orange here and there, the leaves will look like they are changing colors or just fell off the tree!
For the snow in the third page, leave it white and add shadows with light blue.
If you color under the snow on the thatched roof with ochre or brown, it will look like a neat old house.

It looks great if you color the inside of the footprints on the snow with light blue.
