About Toyota Vellfire
A Luxury Minivan with a Powerful Face
Toyota Vellfire is a big luxury minivan made by Toyota.
A minivan is a tall car with lots of room inside, so many people can ride together.
Toyota Vellfire has three rows of seats, and the back doors are sliding doors that open to the side.
It is a sibling car to Toyota's Alphard, and the inside of the car looks very similar.
While Alphard feels elegant and calm, Toyota Vellfire is a car that focuses on being powerful and fresh.
Its cool, sharp face features headlights split into top and bottom rows.
It is built at a factory owned by Toyota Auto Body in Inabe City, Mie Prefecture.
The Secret of Its Name
The name "Vellfire" comes from combining the English words velvet and fire.
Fire means "flame".
It shows that this car is a cool but passionate car—calm on the outside, but full of hot feelings inside.
People sometimes combine both names and call Alphard and Toyota Vellfire Al-Vell.
Three Generations of Toyota Vellfire
The first model came out in May 2008.
At first, you could only buy it at Toyota stores called Netz.
In 2011, a hybrid car that uses both gas and electricity was added.
The second model became all-new in January 2015, together with Alphard.
From May 2020, you could buy it at any Toyota store.
The third model came out on June 21, 2023.
Only Toyota Vellfire got a 2.4-liter turbo engine model.
This was the very first time a turbo engine was put in Toyota Vellfire.
In January 2025, a plug-in hybrid car that can charge its battery from home outlets went on sale, too.
Three Coloring Pages
There are three coloring pages of Toyota Vellfire, from the first model to the third model.
On the first page, the first model shows off its front grill with many side lines and its split top-and-bottom headlights.
On the second page, the second model features an aero face called the Z series.
It really stands out with its big grill of thick side lines and the diamond mesh pattern on both ends of the bumper.
On the third page, the third model looks so cool with its big grill made of many overlapping side lines and its long, thin headlights.
There are also thin vertical lines on both ends of the bumper.

How to Color Toyota Vellfire
Try to Copy the Real Colors
The cars used as examples are silver for the 1st generation, and white for the 2nd and 3rd generations.
For the current 3rd generation, there are colors like a black called Neutral Black, a white called Platinum White Pearl Mica, and a color called Precious Metal.
The Toyota Vellfire looks really cool colored in black, too.

How to Color a Big Car Body
The Toyota Vellfire is tall and long, so it has lots of wide spaces when you look at it from the side.
For the wide spots, move your colored pencil in the same direction to color it smoothly.
For a white car, use the white of the paper! If you color just the bottom of the car and the dips in the doors with light gray, it will look 3D.
For the silver 1st generation, color it lightly with gray and leave a little bit of white on the roof and hood. It will shine like real metal!
When you color it black, leaving some white on the edge of the roof where the light hits will make it look shiny and glossy, too.
The Grille and Lights
The best parts of the Toyota Vellfire are its big grille and sharp lights.
If you make the side lines of the grille silver and color the spaces between the lines with black or dark gray, it will look like it's shining brightly!
The grille of the 3rd generation car called Z Premier is made of shiny dark plating called jet black plating and glossy black.
For the 3rd page, it's also great to try coloring the whole grille with black and dark gray.
The diamond shapes on the 2nd generation's bumper are tiny, so coloring just the spaces between them with black will make them stand out.
For the headlights, leave the inside white and try coloring just the edges with light gray.
The Windows, Tires, and Wheels
If you color the window glass with light sky blue or gray and leave diagonal white lines, it will look just like real glass!
Color the tires with dark gray or black.
The wheels are usually silver, but the 3rd generation Z Premier also has wheels colored in black.
The wheels on the 3rd page have lots of thin spokes, so color the spaces with dark gray and take your time to color them carefully!
Fun Facts About Toyota Vellfire
A Turbo Engine Just for Toyota Vellfire
The 3rd-generation Toyota Vellfire has a 2.4-liter turbo engine model that its twin, Alphard, does not have.
A turbo pushes a lot of air into the engine to make great power.
It also has special parts to make the car body stronger, so it focuses more on fun driving than Alphard.
They look alike on the outside, but they are different on the inside!
A Car Born from a Dealership Name
The 1st-generation Toyota Vellfire was born to be sold at Toyota dealerships called Netz.
Before that, it was sold at Netz stores under the name Alphard V.
Toyota Vellfire became its own car with this new name.
Now, you can buy it at any Toyota dealership!
A Huge Storage Space Under the 3rd-Row Seats
The 2nd-generation Toyota Vellfire had a huge 148-liter storage space under the 3rd-row seats.
People say a storage space this big was a world first.
It was designed with great ideas to hold lots of family luggage!
A Step Next to the Driver's Seat
The 3rd-generation Toyota Vellfire added a step under the driver's door to help people get in and out.
This was the first time a Toyota car had this step on the driver's side.
It helps small children and older people get in and out easily, even if the car is tall!
