About Integra Type R
Fast Sports Car! Honda Integra Type R!
The Integra Type R is a super fast sports car made by the Japanese carmaker "Honda". The "R" in "Type R" stands for "Racing." It is a special car built to win races!
The Very First Type R! DC2 and DB8 Models
This is the very first Integra Type R that came out in 1995.
The DC2 model is a cool, sleek coupe with 2 doors.
The DB8 model is a 4-door sedan. People could easily get in the back, so even families could enjoy this sports car!
The coolest thing about this car is its engine called "VTEC"!
- When you step hard on the gas pedal, the engine sound changes to a super high, cool sound, and the car goes amazingly fast!
- This amazing engine was very special because skilled workers carefully polished it by hand.
- People said it was the fastest front-wheel-drive car in the world, and it was great at taking sharp turns too!
The New Type R! DC5 Model
This is the second-generation Integra Type R that came out in 2001. Compared to the DC2 and DB8 models, it looks a bit rounder and much more powerful!
It got a new VTEC engine called "K20A," which gave it even more power than the older Integra Type R. The meters by the driver's seat lit up and looked super cool!
There are two versions of this DC5 model depending on when it was made: the early model and the late model.
DC5 Early Model
This model was made from 2001 to 2004. Its biggest feature is its headlights, which look like falling teardrops. The slightly sharp eyes look so cool!
Also, the brakes were amazing! It used brakes made by "Brembo," a famous Italian company that makes brakes for race cars. They helped the car stop really well!
DC5 Late Model
This was made from 2004 to 2006, and it was the very last Integra Type R model.
The biggest difference from the early model is that the teardrop shape on the headlights went away. It changed to a cleaner, sharp-eyed design! The back taillights lit up differently too. It was smoother to ride in, making it a great final step for the Integra Type R!
How to Color Integra Type R
How to Choose Colors
If you color Integra Type R, try using its most famous color!
- Body: Championship White (pure white) is the top pick! But it also looks super cool like a race car if you color it in your favorite red, yellow, or blue.
- Honda Emblem (the H mark): Try drawing the H mark where the emblems go on the front and back of the car. Don't forget to color the emblems red! That is the mark of a Type R.
- Wheels: Color them white to match the body for a popular look. Silver or gunmetal (dark silver) look great too.
- Lights: For the round headlights, draw the edges clearly in black, and make the inside shine with yellow or silver.
- Wing (Spoiler): You can color it the same color as the body, or use black to make it look sharp.
- Windows: Color them light sky blue or light gray to make them look like glass.
How to Make It Look Super Cool!
The trick is to make it look shiny and fast.
- Make It Shine: If you use colored pencils, try to leave a little bit white or color softly on places where light hits, like the hood or the roof. It will look like a shiny car body!
- Add Shadows: Add "shadows" with a slightly darker color (like gray or a darker shade of the body color) under the car, around the tires, and under the wing. It makes the car look 3D and even cooler!
- Tires: Color the tires deep black. Color the part touching the ground a little darker with straight side-to-side strokes to make it look nice and heavy.
Let's Draw a Background!
Imagine where your Integra Type R is driving!
- Racetrack: Draw gray road and red and white striped curbs, and the race is ready to start!
- In the City: Draw buildings, traffic lights, and other
cars to make a fun city drive scene. - Speed Lines: Draw fast whoosh! lines behind the car to make it look like it is zooming by super fast!
Have Fun and Be Creative!
