Cool trains running through Yokohama! Minatomirai Line

The Minatomirai Line is a train line that connects Yokohama Station and Motomachi-Chukagai Station in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It opened in 2004. Even though it runs underground, it was built so you can travel quickly to Yokohama's famous sightseeing spots and beautiful areas by the sea. Because it connects directly with the Tokyu Toyoko Line, you can also come to play from Shibuya or Saitama Prefecture without changing trains!

The trains and their friends

On the Minatomirai Line, you can see its own trains (Yokohama Minatomirai Railway) and many other trains from different companies that run on the same tracks.

• Y500 Series: This is the original Minatomirai Line train. It has a beautiful blue wave pattern on the body that looks like the sea and sky of Yokohama, along with a yellow stripe that stands out.
• Tokyu Railway trains (5000 Series, 5050 Series, etc.): These are trains with red or pink stripes that come in from the Tokyu Toyoko Line.

How to Choose Colors
