Legacy B4 first appeared in 1989. Since then, many people have loved it, and it has kept improving. Every generation of Legacy B4 has its own cool features.

• 1st Generation Legacy B4 (1989~) BC/BF Series: In this era, Legacy B4 became super popular as a new type of car called a "Touring Wagon" that could carry lots of people and luggage. Later, models with turbo engines came out that could drive fast just like sports cars!
• 2nd Generation Legacy B4 (1993~) BD/BG Series: This was the first car made in Japan in the 2L class to reach 280 horsepower! In this era, a tall wagon called the "Grand Wagon" also appeared. This was the start of the car known as the "Outback" today.
• 3rd Generation Legacy B4 (1998~) BE/BH Series: Starting from this model, the sedan was given the name "Legacy B4". The wagon was made for families, and Legacy B4 was made for people who love driving, so each had its own special charm.
• 4th Generation Legacy B4 (2003~) BL/BP Series: It got a little bigger than before and became a 3-number class car. Clever ideas were used to make the body lighter, and it won the Car of the Year award!
